Sign Up for Health Care at Headlines

For the second year in a row, Headlines Barber Shop will partner with Legal Services of Southern Piedmont (LSSP) to provide on-site assistance for those interested in signing up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.  Every Friday during the enrollment period, a representative from LSSP will be at Headlines Barber Shop to speak with individuals about their options.  Last year, 50% of all appointments at Headlines Barber Shop, resulted in enrollments.

9,707 Meals for Charlotte Families in Need

Charlotte based Headlines Barber Shop held its 3rdAnnual Cookout for a Cause on September 13 from 1-5pm at Reedy Creek Park.  During the course of the event, the barber shop raised enough money to purchase 9,707 meals for Charlotte families in need.  All proceeds from the event benefitted the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.  To date, Headlines Barber Shop has raised 38,000 pounds of food which equates to 26,000 meals for Charlotte families in need.

Headlines Barber Shop held its 3rd Annual Food Drive from July 14th – August 15th.   Donations were collected at both the Barber Shop at 5309 E. Independence Blvd and at LaJohn’s Grooming Lounge at 8035 Providence Rd in Charlotte. All donations benefited the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.  The organization provides food to those in need in the greater Charlotte area.

Lupus Awareness Fundraiser to be held at Headlines Barber Shop

April 9, 2015 –

On Saturday, April 25th, Charlotte based, Headlines Barber Shop will host Cuts and a Cause from 10am – 2pm.  The event is aimed at raising awareness about lupus.  Money will be raised through raffle ticket sales.   Donations will also be accepted during the event and are a tax write off.
